Processed Engineered Fuel (PEF):
Processed Engineered Fuel is Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) or other source separated wastes that have been mechanically processed to remove the toxic and high ash portion of the waste stream. Tramp including metals, rock, glass, electronics, sheet rock, plaster and other high ash non-combustibles are removed from the waste stream. The resulting fuel runs between 6000 to 8000 Btu per pound and burns cleaner than coal.

Our waste to energy technology:
We offer a full recycling system that's designed to fit your waste stream. Our equipment consists of an elevated recovery section with drop chutes for recyclables, magnetic separation for ferrous metals, eddy current for non-ferrous metals, air classifier, trommel and tramp separators for removing high-ash and toxic portions as well as drying to prep the material. Further, our shredder and densifier provide the ability to pelletize, which is key for storage and transportation of the fuel. Most importantly, simplicity and standardization of parts throughout the equipment keeps downtime minimal and is maintainable by individuals with ordinary mechanic skills. A common misunderstanding of our Municipal Solid Waste to energy process:
One misconception of our process is that it is the burning of garbage producing high amounts of pollutants. PEF is the burning of good paper and plastics that would normally enter the landfill unable to be reused. This paper and plastic usually consists of packaging from food items and other various consumer goods that are stained or contaminated.
